A crafty bottleshop-cum-micropub and overtly gay-friendly. Not exactly a pub experience, the bar is a bit of an afterthought and it’s not particularly comfortable, it really is just the back of the shop DIY-d to hold a bar and a small amount of high stools and a table. However it’s a useful place to find a tidy array of craftykeg and a really impressive fridge stock which is a notch above the usual stuff to the extent I filled my bag with goodies. Bar-wise, my Titanic Plum Porter Reserve Port Infused slipped down very nicely. The barman, taciturn initially, warmed-up a fair bit when I started perusing the fridge and asking questions. Difficult one to score – if you treat it as a place to find really interesting beers then it’s a winner. As a place in which to drink them, it isn’t. 6.5
