Blackthorn _ left this review about Beer Necessities

A relatively recent opening in the popular and vibrant Wapping Wharf development, like many of it’s neighbours this bar is housed inside a converted shipping container and is thus quite diminutive inside with very limited seating. Operating as both a bottle shop and a bar, the range of drinks was necessarily limited, but it’s nonetheless a decent enough pit stop if in the area, especially if it’s a nice day and you can grab one of the outside tables.

Internally it’s very compact as mentioned, with just one table off to the left inside the window and a small bench alongside the wall to the right. The bar counter is at the rear of the pub, with the remaining floor space being taken up with ‘fridges to the left housing the bottles and cans for sale. The flooring is some type of wood strip whilst the walls have been painted in a shade of battleship grey. Due to the limited space, various items related to the running of the pub were scattered around the edges of the room such as CO2 cylinders, boxes of glassware and a sack truck.

There were no real ales on tap as might be expected, with just three keg taps on the back wall. Only one of these was beer, Steady Rolling Man pale ale on this occasion, which seemed a little pricey at £6.90 per pint. The remaining taps offered a local (Lost & Grounded) Keller Pils and Pilton cider.
