Blue Scrumpy left this review about Melton Mowbray & District Indoor Bowls Club

I don't think I've ever drank in a bowls club before. This one can be found on the outskirts of Melton Mowbray and has both indoor and outdoor bowls.

A competitive match between the local bowls team and Kirkby Muxloe was in progress outside, whilst indoors, there were several games going on in quite an impressive setting.

The bar has good views over all of the action. A TV in the corner was showing the FA Cup Final, whilst there is a dining area separated from the bar by a partition.

2 real ales from the nearby Parish brewery are served. PSB is the regular beer. We both opted for Proper Charlie.

Apparently you need to be a CAMRA member to drink in the bar area. Although, we weren't asked. The dining area is open to the public and beer can be consumed there.

Certainly one of the more unusual bars I have been to. But don't rule it out.
