Blackthorn _ left this review about Tesoro Lounge

Another outpost of the ever expanding Loungers chain, this opened last year in an unusual looking building in Thornbury’s High Street, I can imagine it may perhaps have been a market hall or something like that in a former life, although was more recently a clothing shop.

Style wise it’s very similar to their other outlets, with dark varnished wooden boards on the floor, predominantly green paintwork, with dark green on much of the walls and more of a khaki shade on the woodwork, although there was also some very floral wallpaper in places as well as further areas with mauve paint on the walls and pink on the ceiling. A large selection of pictures and mirrors covered the walls, and it was very busy on our Saturday afternoon visit, despite being a surprisingly large pub split across several different areas.

Service at the bar seemed a bit chaotic, with the staff seeming to be struggling under the weight of orders coming from diners, with no expectation of having to actually serve anyone at the bar counter. Indeed, the first question we got was “what table are you sat at?”, even though we weren’t, we had just arrived. No real ales on tap unfortunately, just Brixton Reliance on keg, whilst the ciders were Weston’s Vintage and Old Mout Cherries & Berries.
