Bucking Fastard left this review about Orbit Beers Taproom

Situated in a railway arch opposite the brewery, the large glazed frontage gives both natural light and a view of whats instore before entering. It's all very taproom chic with lots of MDF ,ply and pine creating a series of seating booths along the length of the interior. Some painted oil barrels with stools opposite the bar are useful for parking your beer, while along the left wall is first an open kitchen with a chef hard at work and then the bar supporting 10 keg taps,8 from Orbit,1 guest and a sparkling cider. The Orbit beers had a mix of styles and ABV's and my half of their Utopian Baltic Porter was a fine complex 8% despite the £5 price tag.
The food looked good with a short menu of smoked foods and Naco's,Afghan nan's with various fillings.
It was very popular on my Saturday afternnon visit with a mixed crowd but largely recent incomers in an area that is gentrifying fast.Family groups as well as babies in buggies mark this out as a young professionals hangout.
There is a Sunday quiz, televised Rugby Six Nations and a talk soon from Melissa Cole,a ticketed event. The taproom opens at 4pm on Wed-Friday,noon Sat & Sun and generally closes at 11pm ,10pm on Sunday.
I liked it and would most certainly return,it's the new face of Walworth.
