Blue Scrumpy left this review about Comrades Club

The Comrades Club was probably the busiest place we visited on our Friday tour of Cambridgeshire pubs.

Set just back from Cambridge Street, with the car park entrance on the parallel St Ann's Lane, we arrived to find a food truck doing a roaring trade outside and queues forming to enter.

We were allowed in as CAMRA members. Alternatively, they were charging a fee for non-members, as a band was preparing to play in one room. Elsewhere, there were 2 other rooms all packed with people of all ages, including a few families.

Whilst many were drinking shots and lagers, there were also 3 real ales, justifying its position in the Good Beer Guide 2023.

Sharp's Doom Bar is the regular beer. Guests were Wye Valley Butty Bach & the local Congreve IPA from Rocket Ales

I didn't spot a real cider, but Whatpub does mention that they should have one from local producer Simon's.

It's been a good while since I was last in Godmanchester, but this must rival the Exhibition as the place to drink when in town.
