Blue Scrumpy left this review about Alphabetti Theatre Bar

The Alphabetti is a small independent theatre company that seems to do a lot for the local community.

As you walk in, you walk straight into a room housing tables and chairs for the bar. The bar is off to the right, whilsy a door in front of you leads into the auditorium itself.

There was no real ale for my visit. Although it seems they often have Tyne Bank Monument Bitter. They did however have Weston's Rosie's Pig Rhubarb Cider, which went down very nicely. The craft beer was Northern Alchemy Farmhouse Session IPA, whilst there was a lager too.

Staff were friendly and the space is quite bright and funky.

This is a decent little place for a drink and being so close to St James Park, I was surprised at how many people were walking past on a matchday, without going in. Admittedly, some were glancing over to the door and seemed tempted!

I may well pop in here again the next time I pass by.
