Bannoc Brewhouse is a bit more upmarket compared to the pubs of Bonnyrigg, which was a welcome relief. This bar is run by the same people as the Beetroot Bar and Grill next door and as such they share the same address. However, they are distinctly different venues with this one being aimed at drinking rather than eating and there is no connecting door that I saw. In addition to the Blue Moon, Belhaven Best, Tennants, East Coast IPA and Menbrea, that are also found next door, are Camden Pale Ale and Estrella Galicia. There are three televisions that were showing muted BBC news and some background music was playing. This is also a live music venue. I found the service to be very friendly, but not sure I’ll be making a special trip to this area again.
