E TA left this review about Manor House Inn

Recently reopened after being closed for 8 years, this family run local occupies a prominent Georgian building in the large village well off the beaten track. There is a car park at the side, slightly hazardous in the wet due to plant growth, and a large garden which currently has a marquee providing cover over a large number of tables and benches. Inside, there is a single large, conjoined bar which has been recently redecorated and looks very smart. There is a large TV on the wall, which complements the even larger one in the garden for watching live sports. There is a pool table, gaming machine and WiFi. No food is available yet, but they are thinking about offering that later. One real ale on, Doombar, which was in good condition. This will eventually be a really good local, and it already attracts people from Bridgwater who want a quiet pint without the noise and threatening behaviour often experience in the town. I should be happy to drop in when passing and I’d like to come back and try the food when they get around to doing it.
