Blue Scrumpy left this review about Three Horseshoes

Situated on a busy A-road heading towards Durham, but overlooking rolling fields and plenty of sheep, the Three Horse Shoes manages to be suitable for both drinkers and diners.

There is a main bar area, with seating either side of the main entranceway, with a further room at the rear. Most people were eating. Although, there were a few drinkers. The 2 local real ales were Consett Ale Works Last Tap & Maxim Time Lord. My Last Tap was a well-kept bitter. Of the 13 County Durham pubs I visited on this trip, this is the one I'd most happily return to.
