Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Bistrot Pierre

Quite the least likely place to find cask ale in in the English Riviera; a chain French restaurant in a modern block on Torquay seafront (a town hardly known for the real stuff)? Anyway, you would never guess, looking through the windows at both ground or first floor levels either, since the tables are seemingly all laid up for dining. However, the seating out on the front pavement and up on the terrace (with fine views across the bay towards the harbour) suggest something less formal, and you can certainly just get a drink here, either outside or sat by the street-level counter. Better still, two of the three wholly unexpected handpumps were dispensing Hunter's Old Charlie and a fine Bays Summer Ale (£4.30), with a reversed Dartmoor Jail Ale clip on the other handle. Overall, a right surprise!
