Describing itself as a 'nano-pub', this as mentioned is essentially a cupboard in the Covered Market with communal outside seating. About four pressure drop (?) taps along with keg and can offerings, but to be fully appreciated this place needs to be bigger; the teardrop explodes.

A cute little stall in the covered market, owned by the Church Hanbrewery brewery as an outlet for their unfined beers and the occasional guest. One or two casks and ciders are on a stillage, with more beers on keg or bottle. A few tables are squeezed in the aisle outside, shared with the adjoining tiny wine bar/bottle shop, and food bought elsewhere in the market can be consumed. The cask beer on the occasion was Ale X, a pleasant and refreshing brew, and we had a very nice chat with the lady in charge. Well worth dropping by, but note it is open market hours only so not evenings.

A tiny little micro bar set within the covered market, there were a couple of cask on and a decent range of craft beers. no other customers were about on my visit had the been a few it would quickly become crowded. More of a novelty than a serious destination.

Enjoyed our visit to this microbar bar well described below. Due to Covid19 I expect, only 1 ask available with 6 or 7 on taps. Most were Church Hanbrewery, an XT 8 porter, a couple of Heavy Water ones, and we enjoyed 2 rounds of thirds paying £5.40 for each round. Opening times tied to Market opening times.

This is a brand new "nano-pub" opened in Oxford's covered market just before Christmas and open and run by the team behind the Church Hanbrewery, erm, brewery based in Church Hanborough near Woodstock. A little tricky to find within the warren that is Oxford's covered market, but look out for Bonner's fruit & veg place and you can't miss it. Although a little limited on my weekday lunchtime visit, there will normally be 5-6 cask ales served from gravity behind the bar and 8 keg taps. There were just the two of the former on my visit - CH Teardrop Citra and A Beer For Doug (smoked porter) - all beer is served in 1/3 or 2/3 and priced £1.80 or £3.50 accordingly. In addition, they always aim to have a "secret brewer" on one of the keg taps, and pump clips hanging below a shelf to the left of everything on offer had one saying just "Yorkshire Brewer" and an ABV. Racks of bottles to the right included offerings from another local brewery in Little Ox and sparkling wine, gin, mulled wine, brandy and rum were also from local businesses, with takeaways available. Snacks were also available in the form of salami, chorizo and savoury biscuits. The place is run by a very enthusiastic Brazilian lady and her partner, and make sure you turn around from the bar and look up above the entrance to see the photos of Brazilian sporting greats plus a couple of interlopers. The opening hours mirror that of the covered market, so plan a visit accordingly, although this does mean they are open seven days a week if your trip is only limited to weekends. A very good, albeit tiny(!) micropub addition to the Oxford drinking scene.
