A modern bar in a shop conversion, done in what I would consider poor taste but maybe this is what people like in Barnsley? There were four hand pumps on the bar at the time of my visit (see photo), but as this was quite some time ago, this may have little relevance - I found notes for this review in an overlooked notebook. I went for the True North Stones Bitter, a revival of a not very good beer from the 1990s, so I suppose that saying it wasn't very good is like praising it for being true to type. Maybe I should pay another visit.
