Real Ale Ray left this review about Ale Rooms

We got a good welcome from the owner who was sitting at the bar on our arrival. He explained all the beers on handpump and then proceeded to hand us various samples. He also told us that his family run and own the nearby Silhill brewery and before he opened the Ales Rooms he spent a good few years hands on in the brewery.
There were 7 ales on handpump on our visit Backyard Blonde, Cocksure Pale, Milestone Loxley, Church End Goats Milk, Sadlers Boris Citron, Silhill Stars and Stripes and Silhill KSA Knowle Special Ale. I went for the two from Silhill and the Backyard Blonde. Cask ale prices were £3.50 a pint, and Camra members discount is £3 a pint. It opens everyday 12-11pm

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Ale Rooms

With a split-level 'L'-shaped interior, this is slightly larger than most micro-pubs, and the background music will be unwelcome by some. However, it otherwise looks much as you would expect and was doing good business on a rainy Wednesday evening. Importantly, given its target audience, there was a fine selection of real ales in a variety of different styles from six of seven handpumps, with the local Silhill North Star hopped Porter (just £3.00 with a Camra discount) being good value.

Nice little micropub and a great addition to the area. This was my main reason for visiting Knowle and it was worth it. Great beer and friendly people. If you are going please note that it doesn't open until 2 !
