The Gasworks is a large open plan pub with an industrial feel. There is a mix of high and standard size tables throughout and I spotted four shuffleboard tables, two short and two long. Banquettes and booths run down the left windowed wall and there is brewing equipment in the right front corner. I counted six hand pumps on the bar alongside a premium keg range. I wasn’t enamoured with the background music, but I’d pop back in again if passing in a more sober state.

Enjoyed our visit to this bar on 12.8.22. Big place with it's own brewery. We enjoyed their own Gasworks Omnibus XI and Funky Monkey from Northern Monkey.

Visited on Saturday evening. Six cask ales at the bar including two of their own. Service was a bit slow with inattentive staff loitering behind the bar but OK once I caught someone's eye. It was busy and noisy. Not one of my favourite places but fine to visit every now and then.

New brewpub opened by the team that own the Dockyard pubs, which is fairly obvious when you look at the decor i.e. fairly minimalist with an industrial feel. I've been in here 3 times recently, so I thought I'd better get around to reviewing it. The brewery itself is to the right in its own glass area. Be aware that as you approach the bar the cask ales are all to the left hand side, partially hidden by a pillar. The centre of the bar is all craft keg at stupid prices e.g. £4.50 for a 2/3rds measure of Vocation. Only one of their own brewery beers available when I've been in, but there are 5 others to choose from. I've had a few in here and they've all been well kept. Cask ales are £3.50 per pint which is very reasonable for central Manchester. A very good addition to the Manchester beer scene.

Far better than the Liquor Store down the way. As far as I could see the strongest ale was 4.5%. This place was quite busy with some reserved tables.

An open plan place with an industrial feel to it. Its all exposed pipes, wooden pallets and ventilation ducts around the ceiling and as it brews its own beers the brewing equipment is on show to the right as you enter. 6 handpumps on the bar. The decor is not for me but you may like it.

A modern brew pub opened on 28/10/16 on the First Street complex on the site of the old Gaythorn Gasworks.
