Oggwyn Great left this review about The Maltstone

Formerly the New Inn and has gone under several different guises over the years including an Indian resturant .
The main entrance leads to the bar area , the bar is to the front , with several high tables and some comfy looking leather chairs , its all very modern and clean looking with lots of light woods , the bar is divided from the large main dining area by a staircase leading to an upper room(not explored) and a large stone pillar , there is a huge glass fronted wine rack the size of a small room by the pillar , the dining area leads into a large conservatory style area which has a large wood burning Pizza Oven in the corner .
Some unusual kegs including Pilsner Urquel and four handpulls , two on with Purity Ubu and Doombar , a third had Hobsons Best with the clip reversed .
Quiet on my late mid-week afternoon visit , but the young staff were friendly and chatty .
