E TA left this review about Burgers and Barrels

Originally a pub called Victoria Works before it was reinvented as a burger bar, before reopening last year as Burger and Barrels, a bar and diner. Sadly, its potential isn’t being realised. There is outside seating at the front offering a good view of the traffic lights, but there is very sparse seating in the bar area, which feels cramped. The single indoor bar has furniture made from scaffold poles and engineered wood, and it reeks of stale curry. The barman was surly to the point of rudeness, making it very obvious he resented serving us. The food offerings were designer burgers and veggie wraps, not too expensive, but maybe not great value given the surroundings. There was a large TV screen showing golf, and there was a selection of shisha pipes for those so inclined. No real ale, no decent bottled beer, and the one megakeg cider tasted disgusting to the point of being undrinkable. This has to be the least pleasant pub experience I’ve had in Bath to date and I have no desire to repeat it.
