E TA left this review about The Red Lion

This roadside inn is owned by Wadworth's and underwent a renovation a few years ago. It is entered through the large carpark at the front, adjacent to which is a children's play area with various aparatus and a terrace with seating and a large umbrella. There are additional wooden benches and table on the lawn next to the main road. The main bar at the front is laid for diners and has a large brick fireplace. There is a smaller bar at the back, mainly used by locals, which has a dartboard and is dog-friendly. Food is relatively cheap but not very imaginative, though it is available all day. Staff were friendly enough, there was annoying music blaring out and there was free wifi available. Various bric-a-brac attempted to help engender a rural atmosphere but failed. There are 4 ales and a cider on draft, and I had the 6X which was in good condition. A decent place to stop for a quick lunch and a pint or two.
