A small bar with the feel of a cafe rather than a pub, though there is beer a-plenty. I counted six hand pumps, but did not bother counting the keg beers available at the time of my visit. There were a dozen or so people present at the time of my Friday afternoon visit, mostly drinking lager. I went for Beespoke Shipley Stout, which is brewed on the premises.

Home cooked food is available and there is background music. I found it a little too noisy in here, but some people like their pubs that way. I quite liked the relaxed vibe of this pub, especially the extempore decorations based on inventive use of beer mats and bottle caps.

This is the place to drink in Shipley.Very close to the station but situated in a dull parade of shops, the conversion has been done very tastefully with traditional benches ,tables, stools and settles and interesting wall decorations with a bar to the rear left.At the back of the building is a unisex loo with pages from Private Eye plastered to the wall ,some of the cartoons gave me a good chuckle. There is a small courtyard outside .
It certainly merits the description of a micropub, the welcome was very friendly and the quality of the 6 handpumped real ale was outstanding. On my trip the offering was Saltaire Hop 256 and New World Red,Bridgestone Pennine Gold and Sandstone with house ale Beespoke Brewing Shipley Stout .I sampled four different pints and all were on top form with a pleasing mix of styles and strengths.Wine is available and there were also 8 keg taps, some offering interesting craft options. There is a quiz, and on my Wednesday evening trip live music from a guitarist and the atmosphere was genuine and lots of fun.Apparently there is often free bread and dripping on the bar, pickled eggs are also available to purchase.
I was impressed ,will most certainly return and I would say this is an unmissable treat if you are in the area.

This is a friendly and welcoming some pub, with its own microbrewery named the Beespoke Brewing co. They have been brewing here for about 6 months, so I went for their Briggate Blond IPA, which definitely had some kick and was very flavoursome. There was six pumps in operation on our visit, so also tried the Cottage Resolution, which was in good shape.
There was a small kitchen off the bar, where a young lady was cooking some wholesome dishes for around the £5 mark. Another plus was the plasma screen displaying train times.

The Fox is situated along a row of shops that look down at heel.
Once inside i really took to this small pub.
There is a small single oblong shaped room with the bar to the rear left, the floor is bare boarded, the seating pew type and chairs.there are lots of brewery related posters on the walls.
There was a good choice of real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Phoenix Navvy, which went down very well, the other beers noted were,Naylors Velvet,Prospect Whatever,Bespoke Plain bitter and Bespoke Cask lager.
Food was being served and decent background music was playing.
This is the sort of pub i could stay in for a good session.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Fox

Not quite a micro-pub, but a compact bar housed in a converted shop. Typical alehouse furniture and decor in the modern style. Six real ales on handpump, including Abbeydale Balls of Snow (£3.20), plus a good selection of keg and imported beers plus an interesting selection of bottled offerings. Handy for the station, and well worth a visit.

A small, one-room bar, housed in a former shop, sandwiched between a Chinese takeaway and a motorcycle dealership may not sound the most promising of venues. However, it’s a lot classier than its modest surroundings would suggest and is certainly no Wetherspoons ‘mini-me’, with owner Chris Bee having previous good form as a co-founder of the Salamander brewery. On opening in September 2013, it achieved almost immediate acclaim and rapidly become a ‘must visit’ when doing a crawl in the area.

Despite its size, it works really well and has a surprisingly traditional, pubby atmosphere. The interior has a maroon and white colour scheme, a wooden floor, walls covered in pub ephemera and photos of old Bradford, plus a fine old dark bar in the corner. Normally, up to six beers are available on hand pump, but choice was a little restricted on my midday visit due to a particular thirsty crowd from the Saltaire Brewery Beer Club descending the night before! However, the Dr Morton’s ‘Cheese Restrainer’ and Bridestones ‘Smoked Porter’ were both in excellent nick. For non-real ale fans there’s a choice of several decent lagers and wide range of foreign bottles. Service from the barmaid was friendly and welcoming and there was already a good buzz about the place. A return visit, later in the afternoon, with my beer buddies for the day, saw the place absolutely heaving, a testament to its popularity. Undoubtedly, my first port of call, when next in Shipley.

A converted small shop unit in fairly basic style, think North Bar in Leeds or Off the Taps in Bingley. In spite of the big clear shop windows and door it's a bit more pubby in feel than those two fine bars due to the seating types and traditional pub-like decor. The counter is to the back to one side and has six pulls of interesting beers in very good condition making it very popular with discerning drinkers of the Aire Valley. The back door is only a few yards from the entrance onto the Leeds bound platform 1 of Shipley Station.
