Alan Winfield left this review about Horse & Groom

The Horse and Groom is a nice looking stone built pub which faces a road junction.
Once inside there was a single oblong shaped room with the bar facing, the room had a beamed ceiling and a nice stone floor, there were bench seats by the windows with tables and chairs and small tables and stools in the other areas, there was a small seperate dining room to the rear of the pub.
There were two real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Hook Norton Lion which was a very nice drink, the other beer was Youngs bitter.
The pub was fairly busy and had a nice laid back atmosphere.
I quite liked this pub and could happily have a few drinks here.
