Bucking Fastard left this review about Guy Of Warwick

I visited this pub in the past when branded as Jambavan curry house, but it's now reverted to the proper pub name and has become a shrine to the legend that is Guy of Warwick. The building is small and the front bar is very charming with lots of features and pew bench seating infront of the window and down the side, with a smaller standalong table further along.Lots of wood panelling and information boards about Guy who is said to have killed the massive Dun Cow that was terrifying the good folk of Warwickshire around the 10th century.
There was gentle jazz,a small menu of lunchtime snacks ,standard kegs but also two handpumps on the small wooden bar offering Slaughterhouse Guy of Warwick 3.8% and Church Farm Pale 3.8%,£4.50,NBSS 3 .Nothing to get the pulse racing, something stronger would have been appreciated but at least real ale is offered.
The rear area is still a restaurant offering a mix of steaks ,burgers and curry dishes with the Jambavan chef still in place. The friendly guv'nor showed me more detailed interpretation boards in the restaurant about Guy but explained that the tunnels from his cellar to the castle were bricked up and he would not risk his listed building status by opening them up.
Glad it's now back to a pub, worth visiting to revel in the legend, better ale options would have warranted a higher rating.

ROB Camra left this review about Number Six

Reopened as Number Six Restaurant & Cocktail Bar. There is still an area for drinkers, but sadly the real ale has been removed.
