As Steve mentions below, this is in essence a hotel with a bare-floored bar / bistro area which on my visit, served just Birra Moretti lager from a single keg tap. Cotswold IPA and Donnington Brewery Cotswold Gold were available in bottled form - the latter setting me back £4.15. Unless you're desperate to do the complete PuG guide to Bourton, I seriously wouldn't bother with this one.

Steve C left this review about Chester House Hotel

The Chester House Hotel Bar feels like a hotel bar crossed with a restaurant with sofa seating and low tables against dining tables. The food is Italian based and the mains are priced around the £9 mark. There is also a children’s menu which has three options on it which cost £5, not much saving there then! Tetley’s Smoothflow, Becks Vier and Guinness are the draught options from the small bar and there is no cask option.
Some low background was playing and there are no electronic distractions like televisions or gaming machines.

I found the service to be polite, but I don’t know why anyone would go here just for a drink unless they were staying in the hotel and very unadventurous.
