Alan Winfield left this review about The Appleford
The Appleford was a typical north Manchester estate pub that looked a bit grim and uninviting from the outside.
Once inside there were a couple of rooms and i had a drink in the bar which was a decent enough room.
The pub was a Whitbread tied house and there were two real ales on the bar i had a drink of Chesters bitter and this was a fairly nice drink the other beer was Boddingtons bitter.
I thought this was a decent enough pub and i was happy enough having a drink in here.
This pub is still standing but it has been tarted up and converted into an indian restaurant.
Sadly this is yet another pub loss in this area of Manchester.
