Will Larter left this review about The Erewash Hotel

A street corner local that has been opened out from two or three rooms, with the central bar facing upon entry. There was live cricket showing on TV, but loud pop music would have made hearing the commentary a challenge if it hadn't been muted. On the four hand pumps were two beers and a cider; my half of Shipstones Original was in very good condition, and I would be happy to call in again if only I could overcome my aversion to loud pop music.

Called in here before my walk back to the station where they had 3 cask beers on offer.I found the locals and landlord friendly and if I am here again will certainly call in.

Alan Winfield left this review about The Erewash Hotel

The Erewash Hotel is a small corner pub that used to be a Shipstones tied house.
There were a couple of small rooms and this was a decent enough pub to drop in for a drink, there were two real ales on here and we usually had a drink of Shipstones bitter which was a very nice drink the other beer was Shipstones mild.
This pub was a nice stopping off point between the Durham OX and the Flowerpot (Now Demolished).
The pub now sports Banks's signs which it has done for several years but i am not sure if there are any real ales on here.
