Old Boots left this review about Glenelg Inn

Another of those very isolated and hard to reach inns that you find a number of in Wester Ross, this one is reached by either a fairly pricy (£14) but short ferry ride from Skye or a trip over the picturesque Ratagan Pass via a single track road from Sheil Bridge at the end of Glen Sheil. The area between Loch Duich and Loch Hourn is reckoned to be especially unspoilt due to its isolation and having a single poor road in and out. The inn is in the centre of the small village of Glenelg, originally the site of a barracks built to quell the rebellious Scots, and is the only pub for many miles, at least it’s a good one. A single storey old stone building it has a dining room and a large open plan bar with the counter at the back. Furnished mainly with pine kitchen furniture, although there is a sofa at one end under the telly, its plank walls are decorated with a mix of old photos, maps and ship prints. Beers were from Deuchars and well kept, but guest beers look to be available from, I think, the Punch list. The beer garden has views across to the Sleat area of Skye.
