The Wilmot Arms is a nice looking pub that has had a makeover both inside and out,it looks a lot better now than it did in the 80s.
The pub was an Ansells tied house back in the 80s with keg beers on the bar, things have improved since then.
Once inside the bar faces in a long oblong shaped room which runs the width of the pub,the room is carpeted and had normal tables and chairs plus a few small stools, there is a pool table to the far right, plus two TVs one showing american football the other a music channel, there is a seperate square shaped lounge to the rear left, this room looked quite comfy.
There were three real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Pedigree which was a decent drink, the other beers were GK Bonkers Conkers and Abbot.
Both rooms were quite busy on my Friday dinner visit, the pub had a good lively atmosphere.
I was happy enough having a drink in this pub.

Recently refurbished when I visited on a sat afternoon in Feb 10, seemed it is quiet a popular pub in this area was'nt much choice with real ale but nevertheless appeared worth a visit.
