Old Boots left this review about Duke of Wellington

A long, low, whitewashed village pub split into three main areas. The counter is straight ahead on entering with a horseshoe directly in front, another stands to the right and there are two pulls to the left, the cask choices being Theakston’s Best Bitter or Wainwright. The counter is in the main bar, a narrow room with fireplaces at each end, a screen above one, the narrowness of the room means the bar blockers can thoroughly gum up movement. Furnished with banquette seating and chairs at rectangular wooden tables. The punters were a selection of locals and tradesmen when I was in one evening. To the right is a room with a darts board and pool table, at the back is a dining room. In front of the dining room to the left is a small snug set out for dining and behind the dining room are the toilets and a beer garden. Dark blue woodwork with cream walls, although they can’t resist a touch of grey in the dining room. With friendly and attentive staff, it’s a pretty good village local, with reasonably priced food.
