A venerable stone-built place from the outside; inside has been brightly modernised and tabled up for diners, who are clearly the main target market. Even the garden has been equipped with a large dining marquee, as well as a few huts. The food did smell jolly good however. It does still cater for drinkers though and even has an occasional beer festival. Ales on this visit were Inveralmond Ossian and Best Blonde: condition good.
