Alastair Barter left this review about Sualdo's

Sualdo’s closed September 2018 and reopened on 26th October 2018 as The Gin Rickey. I googled it today and discovered that it has closed too. Photos on the way. So that’s another one that didn’t last long.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Liberté

Presumably a shiny modern bar during daylight hours, but almost pitch-dark later on... However, in the gloom, you can make out a ceiling that is sufficiently high to accommodate a mezzanine that is almost equal in size to the low booth seating area beside the bar at street level. Split-level rear patio. No real ale, of course, but unusually opted for the bottled Fürstenberg (£4.30) from the fridge in preference to one of the limited keg offerings. Otherwise, the music was quite good.

Paul McScotty left this review about The Black Sparrow

North street really has a great array of pubs, including the Bon Accord and Chinaski's and Black Sparrow is on a par with these 2 great bars. From the outside the bar is a basic black (I really like it others think its bland) inside is very nice indeed trendy/smart but not over the top or pretentious with a very nice long dark bar (and well stocked) and plenty of very very nice leather booth like areas and tables (also big enough to stand) it also has an outside seating area (for the summer) and a downstairs bar (which I have not been to). Has a good selection of beers (though not as extensive as Bon Accords) as well as wine and spirits - the usual suspects and a few more and prices are what you would expect for the area - food is really good with the menu consisting of mostly traditional dishes like their amazing burgers (well worth a try0 pies, black puddings etc but all presented very (very) nicely. A really nice bar great atmosphere inside bustling but not overly so - Visit North street and take in the above mentioned bars (and a few more) and you wont be disappointed (oh staff are nice also)

E TA left this review about The Black Sparrow

Formerly The Ritz Bar, The Black Sparrow is now a quiet, friendly bar just off the busy North Street area with a studenty feel to it. Bland decor and an unremarkale interior, it offers no food and no real ale. That said, the staff were friendly and the atmosphere was calm and welcoming. A small oasis of calm, but otherwise just a normal pub trying to survive more attractive competition nearby. It's worth dropping in for a break, but I wouldn't include it on a crawl.
