Update 2023 - not quite as homely as it once was and appears to have been smartened up a bit. The outside now features some hut efforts that can be reserved. Food is fairly conventional pub fare but largely home-made and substantial. Ales seem to be restricted to TT Landlord and a guest, which on this visit was Robinson's Dizzy Blonde.

A cosy and snug old pub, with a series of connected rooms with a glorious mixture of furniture, including some comfy sofas. Definitely felt like the sort of place to be on a winter evening. Several good Yorkshire ales on offer and the food sounded good, although not sampled. Well worth the short diversion off the main Hull road.
