Will Larter left this review about The Nags Head

A narrow fronted pub with a gated archway to the right that hints at a coaching inn. Once inside, the front rooms have been knocked into one, with the bar at the back on the left hand side and facing into the rooms in the rear extension (possibly stables originally?), where a couple of steps lead down to the pool table right at the back. The yard seen through the windows on the right has some tables and a bit of grass from what I could see. There are three hand pumps on the rear-facing bar counter, but no sign that they are ever used. I spotted a previously unknown to me nitrostout called Forged - see this: https://forgedirishstout.com/ if it's new to you too. I thought it was pretty good for a cold nitro, not as cold as Guinness is usually served, and tastier too (though that's not saying much). Not bad value at £3.80 a pint.
