The Hawth Park Inn is a Harvester adjacent to a Premier Inn Express so I wasn’t surprised to see ample parking available. For those that like to sit drinking on what is effectively a roundabout next to a huge car park there is a seating area either side of the pub. The interior consists of a small bar area to the left and a large dining area to the right where the main focal point is a stainless steel salad bar. The bar has a few standard draught offerings, but there is no real ale.
I didn’t spot any television screens, but there was some very low background music playing. Like many pubs in this area there is an ATM cash machine that charges almost £2 a pop to withdraw money. In this day and age I am unsure of the reason why a pub would need such a machine due to card payment and cashback. Maybe this pub does not give cashback so that they can make money from the machine. If this is true I think it is pathetic!
I found the service to be very friendly; it’s just a shame about the pub. This is not a place one goes to just for a beer.
