Land where the pub stood now levelled ..... good news a new pub is to be re-built on the site ..... bad news its being done by Enterprise .

This is a food led pub with a large indoor kids play area named after a sailing ship (strange as Shropshire is about as far from the sea as you can get in England), what was once a cosy multi roomed local is now a large open plan room with a large dining area taking up most of the room , at the front of the pub(main entrance is at the rear)is a small bar area , annoyingly this is the only place you can buy drinks and on my visit the bar was being used for a private party so we were not able to buy drinks from the bar , we were told to take a seat in the dining area and a waitress would come and take our drinks order , now i like to see my pint being poured so i was not happy but the wife said give it a try , after 10 mins no sign of a waitress so out we walked and went up the road to the Cleaveland Arms . This was a poor showing , why put a party in the only room you can buy drinks putting off the casual visiter , will not bother again
