Soup Dragon left this review about Brades Tavern

An elegant, almost cinema looking, light rendered detached pub in various architectural styles with beer garden

The interior was open plan in the single room i saw, though it was partially partitioned down the middle. The decor was modern in the sense that it was single coloured plain walls (one had wallpaper) in red, white, dark green, plum, burnt orange etc. The art was artistic rather than arty if you follow - pictures of trees in vivid colours - as a traditionalist, i still liked this place. There was Sky TV and a dartboard. The service was fine, the clientele a few mature guys listening to the rock music being played. The large Romanesque windows are interesting.

Beer; tap stuff with an ok Banks's MILD and bitter. There was Spekky Hen and Greene King Hare Raiser on handpull.

I was happy to visit here, as the place is different to the generic modern-ish look.
