The Anchor is a sprawling Beefeater adjacent to Scunthorpe’s Premier Inn. The main restaurant area is found to the left and the much smaller bar area is to the right. Standard keg is available alongside Birra Moretti and one of the four hand pumps was in operation drawing Sharp’s Doom Bar. BT Sport is advertised and there was some generic background music playing during a recent early doors Friday visit. The service was polite, but nobody is going out of their way to have a beer in a Beefeater, this one included.
