Doombar and Adnam's Ghost Ship on handpump on our stay here. The Ghost Ship was in good condition and prices were ok. The bar area is comfortable and service was good. This bar is tucked away around the back area of the lounge. There was some bench seating overlooking the river Wensum, so might be a good spot to sit out front when the weather is warm.

A floor of the Premier Inn hotel given over to restaurant and bar use. The modern bar is immersed in the centre of the building, so is rather gloomy, however there are tables on the outside walkway overlooking the river. Still with Doom Bar and Atlantic on handpump.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Nelson

As well as being the restaurant for the adjoining Premier Inn, this is also a riverside pub in its own right. Ignoring the formulaic interior (fitted out by the corporate pub-by-numbers team), it has a nice location by the river and the wooden benches outside can be a reasonable spot on a sunny day. Thankfully, it does do real ale too, albeit just two Sharp's beers on this visit: Doom Bar and Atlantic (£3.79). Handy for the railway station.

The Nelson is a large modern pub that is next to the river, the pub is accessed by going down some steps from the bridge and not by going in costa coffee which is on street level, which is what i tried doing.
Once inside there was a very large room with the bar facing, there was a dining area to the front right, there were mainly tall tables and chairs.
The pub had a modern look to it making it look like lots of other pubs.
There was only one real ale on here this was Woodforde's Wherry and this was a decent drink.
The pub was fairly busy early Saturday evening.
This is not really the sort of pub i like going in but it is handy for the train station.
