I visited this place on the notion that it’s a Victorian pub and whilst the building must date from the 19th century, this is in fact a modern addition to the pub scene, named after a nearby original, demolished in 2008.
The interior looks suitably pubby, with a boarded floor, conventional bar front and back, dark smoky blue walls, white ceiling and mixed furniture with some peripheral pews with décor in the form of many eclectic prints, with youngish customers typical of this trendy street.
There were just two pumps, both delivering Landlord at £2.80 a half and in good nick, served by a very flustered manager.
This is a pleasant enough place, but I wouldn’t have bothered visiting if I’d known it was a conversion; still, as I was about to find out on my six-hole mini-crawl, it was downhill from here.

A pretty non-descript gastro pub, stripped out inside and full of dining familys , it would appear there is no change since Malden mans visit. Beers on were Timothy Taylors Landlord and Sambrooks Wandle.
Not really my thing.

We popped our heads in here tonight following a few enjoyable pints in the nearby Eagle, as the bus stop is close by. They had a couple on, Timothy Taylor Landlord plus a new one from Sambrooks, called Celebration Ale. The pub wasn't much to our taste, being stripped out, bare boarded and very loud, as the well heeled locals brayed to each other, but we were tempted by the Sambrooks.....however sadly, having decided to go in, it was immediately off with clip reversed so we headed back on the bus to Clapham Junction.
Possibly worth a revisit when next nearby seeing they have a positive real ale policy. No rating left.
