hondo . left this review about The Prince of Wales

The pub was first called The Rising Sun and was opened as early as 1851, it was renamed The Settle Inn in 2000, before being taken over by Faucett Inn and renamed Prince of Wales.
Last week the pub announced it was closing to make way for a new Tesco.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Prince of Wales

Substantial corner pub which looks like it was called the Rising Sun at some stage, given the name inscribed in several places on both facades. I think it was also a Youngs pub at one stage, but is now a Faucet Inn. The main bar area has been extended through into a smaller room beyond. Typical gastropub furniture and decor, but the large windows and high ceiling give quite a light and airy feel. Enclosed patio beer garden with plenty of greenery. Two of three handpumps were working, offering Westerham BB and Adnams Gunhill (£3.60). (NB - Review dates from August 2012.)
