The old Soltz bar has been recently refurbished and reopened as The Courtyard. It's a one roomed pub, but there is an upstairs area that is used as a function room or an overflow area for diners. THer's a massive covered courtyard to the rear, hence the name. We called in one Wednesday afternoon and it was a very pleasant bar with a couple of local real ales on the bar and a laid back atmosphere. Called back later that night to find a loud, brash bar full of teenagers. So this pub lives two very differet lives. We'd call in again of an afternoon, but probably not at night.
