Brainy Pool left this review about Music Hall Tap

given the name 'tap' you might expect a few real ales but nope, it's a keg only modern sports bar. thankfully I managed to get in and out without any bar staff noticing me. one to avoid!

This has been totally revamped. Now called The Music Hall Tap this is a two floored everypub. It is trying to be everything from cocktail bar, sports bar, music venue, craft pub to restaurant. Two bars on each floor apparently but I only stayed downstairs. Pool tables and a strange table game thingy can be found in here. Plenty of fizzlagers and a selection on crafty nonsense battle it out with cocktaily dullness for your money. The place is better than it was but that didn't take much.

ROB Camra left this review about Missoula

Late bar close to Chester catherdral. It has 2 floors. The upstairs floor is mainly dining tables and chairs and was closed on our visit apart from access to the toilets. Downstairs has curved raised seating around tables. Similar, but smaller to the ones in its sister bar on Deansgate Locks in Manchester. There's a range of standard lagers on the bar. We called in on our way back to our hotel as almost everywhere else was closed on a Wednesday night and it's better for a last one than drinking in the plastic "cafe bar" in the hotel. The other half tells me the red wine was OK.
