The Bowling Green has a pool table to the left of the entrance and a central curved bar counter to the right that serves a mirrored panelled seating area to the front and banquettes that run along the long area at the rear. in the rear left is another banquette seating area and a DJ booth is found in the front right. I’d personally avoid here at the weekend when karaoke is hosted on both Friday and Saturday nights. During my recent midweek evening visit there was some 80’s music playing off the television. Standard keg was available alongside Madri from the friendly barmaid.

A nice traditional style pub. There are no cask ales here but if you can get past that then its a pretty decent pub. As described elsewhere. For a quiet afternoon drink it was fine.

A multi roomed pub all served from an island bar. The left hand room is more of a tap room and the right rear one more like a lounge. There's lots of green tiling and some nice leather banquette seating in the lounge area. It's a very boisterous pub and the clientele lean towards the high vis jacket, just finished work brigade. At least it did on my Friday afternoon visit at about 3 when it was very busy, so it's obviously doing something right. There's a pool table and tennis was being shown on the very large screens. It's a keg only pub and a pint of Fosters was £2.10. It's not my cup of tea, but it appears works well for its intended market.

The Bowling Green is a white painted pub that is in the middle of Ashtons town centre.
The outside of the pub looked a bit unkempt with peeling paitwork at the time of my visit, but once inside this is a proper old pub with a few different rooms off the main corridor which is tiled, the rooms are smallish but nice enough.
The pub was a Bass tied house at the time of my visit, there was one real ale on the bar which was Worthington bitter which was on handpump, this was quite a nice drink.
This is one of the better pubs in the middle of Ashton.
