Blue Scrumpy left this review about The Church Inn

Another semi-rural pub in Birtle, which enjoys some fabulous views across the hills and fields, not something you would necessarily expect for a pub in Greater Manchester.

As with the Pack Horse, where I had just come from, the Church Inn focuses on food, although not exclusively.

The interior has three rooms, with only one occupied on my Saturday lunchtime visit. Timothy Taylor Landlord is the regular beer. But I was happy to see a guest ale from a brewery I'd not tried anything from previously. This was Pin Up from the Twisted Wheel brewery in Standish, a fairly decent red ale.

Diners seemed like repeat visitors. So, they must also be doing something right with their food.
