A local pub in a good way, situated in the small village of Hyde Heath between Chesham and the Missendens. A long, narrow room is served by a boxy bar to the right, with a seated area towards the back, stools around the bar, and limited seating as you enter (a large screen TV is fixed on the wall which takes most people's attention on this side). Three handpumps dispensed London Pride, Rebellion IPA and Tring Ridgeway and we were served by an very enthusiastic barman. The locals were a friendly bunch to boot and a glance at the food menu shows this place to be a purveyor of reasonably-priced, honest pub grub (all under a tenner). It's not going win any awards (the Ridgeway was a bit iffy), but I'd have no qualms about revisiting this place again.
