Steve C left this review about New Moston

The New Moston is an estate boozer that non-locals are probably not going to stumble across, and as such there was a bit of eyeballing when I walked in on a recent Monday evening. There’s a central bar counter that serves a public bar to the right and slightly larger lounge to the left. I started off in the public bar where there was a very pissed local who was very inquisitive about who I was, but not in a threatening way. The barman and another local were in the process of getting him out of the pub and home. Seeing no draught on the bar counter I walked around to the lounge to find standard keg alongside San Miguel and two unused hand pumps. I sat down on the seating that runs up the left-hand wall and noted that televisions are located throughout for airing Sky Sports. There were a couple of locals near the end of the pub, and a local at the bar who was just as inquisitive about who I was as the wobbly guy next door. After some probing questions he turned out to be very friendly. On the face of it this seems like a dodgy pub, and if you were to go in with the wrong attitude I think you’d find a problem, but I thought it was friendly enough. That said, this pub is too far out of the way to warrant a revisit.

ROB Camra left this review about New Moston

A fairly nondescript pub surrounded by a decent looking housing estate. It's pretty much a square box divided by a central servery to form 2 smallish rooms. Nothing much to note apart from a few prints etc around the walls. Most of the people in the pub seemed to know each other, so probably all live locally. Two handpumps on the bar, one empty and the other a turned round Ringwood pump clip, so not an ale destination pub. I had a quick half of fizz and moved on. It's not worth the walk out here.

The New Moston is a small pub that is named after the area it is in.
When i visited this pub there was a small bar and also a lounge i had a drink in the lounge which was quite comfortable.
This pub is a Marstons tied house and there were two real ales on the bar i had a drink of Marstons bitter and this was a decent drink the other beer was Pedigree.
I think this pub is still up and running.
