Blue Scrumpy left this review about Royal Oak Hotel

Fairly basic local with 3 rooms around a central bar. The small bar was the quietest of the rooms, with quite a few football fans (including ourselves) in the other two adjoining rooms. As Quinno says, the tiled floor gives the place a nice traditional feel. There appeared to be an outdoor area to the rear also.

Reedley Hallows First Trawl is the regular beer here. A guest beer was Copper Dragon Golden Pippin, with Old Rosie cider also available. Bar staff were doing a good job of getting everybody served. Perspex screens have thankfully been removed until the next outbreak of plague.

Quinno _ left this review about Royal Oak Hotel

Large pub which has been knocked around a bit over the years but the pretty full-height dark wood servery has survived as has the nice tiled floor surrounding it. Four cask and my Reedy Hallows First Trawl was in great shape (NBSS 4). Sadly the visit was derailed by stupidly loud dance music off the jukebox (at 4pm!) and perspex screens at the bar, meaning I had to bellow my order. Some of the more earthy locals in situ, god knows what it must be like on a Saturday night. The model trawler on display was of passing interest. 5.5

Called in first time in years still the same as it was nice clean and tidy boisterous gang of lads in no harm in them but could find it intimidating. 4 hand pulls worth a visit

we was very surpised when we went in . very clean and tidy pub . not many of them around! good selection of cast and other beers. good Atmosphere, very good jukebox being played(constantly) -- modern gaming machines and a well looked after pool table . called in for 1 pint - but stayed for the afternoon - well worth a visit -the new landlady as turn this pub around -she deserves your custom. and your reviews. we will revist again - 10/10

ROB Camra left this review about Royal Oak

A much improved pub since our last visit several years ago, when we couldn't wait to leave. It's been opened up from a multi roomed pub, but the separate areas are still obvious. There are two lounges to the left as you enter, one of which had a DJ rig set up in it. There's another room to the rear and right. They had 4 real ales on handpump which I think are changing guests. My pint was in very good condition and Ms CAMRA was happy with the quality of the wine unlike at this pubs near neighbour. We settled down in the front lounge and listened to a bunch of locals having some boisterous banter, very amusing. One of the regulars had a T shirt on that said ....I'd give me one on the back. When he turned round the front said Out Of Ten.... :-)) It's not a pub for the faint hearted, but we'll happily call in again next time we're in Fleetwood.

This pub is now under new management and although its early days, there have already been some great changes. The drinks are cheap, staff and locals really friendly. The pub has been cleaned up and improvements are being made daily. There is a real sense of family inside, where you'll be welcomed with open arms by Stacy, Rob and locals mike and charley. They are setting up a pool team on a Tuesday evening and now indeed have a resident DJ on a Sunday playing all your favourite songs and even gives you the chance to get up and sing karaoke. Fab pub, great people = good times
