Steve C left this review about Manor Farm

Manor Farm is a sprawling Beefeater that is attached to a Premier Inn on a busy road junction at the end of Rainham High Street. The interior and menu follow a typical Beefeater formula and along with a choice of standard draught there are two hand pumps that were drawing Spitfire and Hobgoblin. I found the service to be miserable and my half was short measured.

I see no reason to return here whilst this pub is in its present guise.

Previously the British Gas Show Room, this rather grand corner building has been turned into a Beefeater (some 30 or so years ago, admittedly) and it now has a Premier Inn in its carpark, so one can no longer enjoy the smell of burnt cow at the back. Inside is mainly a random splash of eating areas arranged over a bizarre array of floors and terraces which gives the pub the feel of a Disney fun house, while the constant running around of hoards of obese children adds a certain Willy Wonka effect. To the front is a pleasant wooden terrace where you can watch the traffic crawling along the A2. Appearing a few months older than the overweight oompah-loompahs, the bar staff are pleasant and friendly but not terribly efficient. Off to one side, a man in a silly hat throws assorted frozen road-kill onto a naked flame, skillfully coating it with a thin layer of acryl amide while leaving pretty ice crystals in the middle. There were 2 ales on, Spitfire and Hobgoblin, both served too cold and over-gassed. A sign outside says "The Ultimate Breakfast" - best avoid it, then, unless you are a condemned man or staying in the Premier.
