This is simply the hotel bar, the name doesn't inspire you to just call in for a drink, but some people had. We were staying here, so we decided to have a drink here before going out. This isn't a fully serviced hotel, it's more of a restaurant with rooms. All the staff have usually left by 11, so there's no chance of a late drink. The barmaid was very pleasant and friendly. There's now just 2 beers on the bar Goose Eye Bitter and Chinook. The Chinook was in decent nick. We'd definitely stay here again, but with so many good pubs in Skipton, we'd probably not have a drink here next time.

The bar part of the hotel is now known as Rhubarb Bar & Restaurant but remains unchanged from previous descriptions. A nice old room wasted a bit by modern fake additions, it has stripey carpet and leather chairs on a split level. Three pulls on the counter but only an indifferent Naylors beer on plus the usual range of kegs.

Stayed here two nights the hotels very good but the bar i am afrade it was not for us nobody in had to wait to get served if we had not been staying there we would have walked out. Called in again on our return to the hotel same as before so gave it a miss and went to bed its more of a place for functions.
But would stay at the hotel again

Very trendy interior with lots of fashionable wallpapers, large orange lampshades and a paint finished bar. Consists of a lounge bar, raised area on the left near the front windows. Restaurant is situated on the right. Copper Dragon Golden Pippin and Theakston Best were well kept, but do exspect to pay above central town pub prices. Friday evening was moderately busy, so found seating no problem compared to the busy town centre. A relaxing atmosphere and good surroundings to finish our evening.

This place is very smart, with outlandish chair coverings and wallpaper, and at £3-40p for a ropey pint ot Theakstons Lightfoot (4.1abv)felt like I had paid for a couple of rolls of wallpaper.

This is the closest pub to the train station.
I did'nt like the look of this pub but was surprised when i went in it was quite smart and had a good choice of beers.
I had a drink of Copper Dragon Golden Pippin and this was very nice the other beers were Copper dragon Challenger IPA, John Smiths Cask and Theakston best.
This pub is a decent place to have a drink while waiting for a train.
