Komakino . left this review about The Plum Pudding

Formerly The Admiral Benbow, a GK pub that was just 'existing', and mere running distance from the ugly Milton Park industrial estate. Revitalised a couple of years ago into what many would call a 'proper pub', it's L-shaped internally with the bar slightly to the right on entry, with seating available in front of and to the left in both bay windows and a long corridor-like room facing you leading to the beer garden. Old bottles on high, thin shelving all the way around, faux flagstone tiles, muted muzak, random breweriana, cushioned banquettes on both bay windows and signed rugby and cricket shirts (one of each) to the right of the bar itself, as well as some Aunt Sally paraphernalia on a windowsill which is always good to see. The best ale line-up of the day, with such luminaries as Plain Ales Innocence (£3.70 and decent), Vale Gravitas, Loose Cannon Abingdon Bridge, Ringwood 'Plum Pudding Best Bitter' (likely Razorback) and pump ciders Old Rosie and Sheppy's Blackberry & Elderflower. If you're after somewhere to double-up with the nearby North Star in Steventon, this is worth a look-in.
