E TA left this review about The Unicorn Inn

A former coaching in just outside the town, this pub is now bet known as a cider house. There is a car park at the back, reached through the original portal, but there is no garden worth speaking of. Inside, the two front rooms have been knocked together leaving the chimney breast between the two, though it’s function is now structural and cosmetic; the two-sided hearth contains a false woodburner. There is also an original inglenook which has a real woodburner for warmth. The floors are flagged, the décor is battered, the air stinks of wet dog. Food is available – basic pub grub at an average price. There are two ales on draft, Ruddles Best and Exe Valley Bitter, but these were in disappointing condition. Two draft ciders sat alongside the ale on the bar, but there were 7 other ciders and perries available. The landlord and landlady were both in the bar, and they welcomed us warmly. If you like cider this is a must-visit venue.
