Like every other Yates in the land this place is a large open plan bar aimed at students and creepy old men. Plasma screens are located throughout for showing sport and there is a pool table and boxing test strength machine for the show-offs. Loud dance music was playing during a recent Monday night visit. The advertised beer garden is in fact a few picnic tables and a plasma screen in the alley down the side of the pub.
Standard and Premium keg is available from the bar on the rear wall which also supports two hand pumps. One was unused leaving Naylors Gold as the lone cask ale option. Cheap pub co food is available. I do not plan to return here but will mention that the young barman was very polite and friendly.

Possibly the worst pub in the town center. I ventured in here yesterday and all I can say is it was a waste of my time.A couple of young girls in there were obviously underage so god knows how they got served. It made me feel quite old, even though I'm approaching my 44th birthday. I couldn't recommend this place to anybody.

Called in last night as I had heard a rumour that they now had real ale on the bar. They do, it's Bombardier on one of those new fangled light up handpumps. I tried a pint and was charged an astonishing £1.79. It was pretty good as well. It's still an awful place but I'll have to up the rating for the beer now.

Desperate fizz only pub in the centre of Rochdale. A fine old building ripped out and ruined. Just a large barn with a dance floor. Nothing to recommend it at all unless you're a chavvy 19 year old.

Absolutely disgusted. My girlfriend and our 13 day old baby went in for a bite to eat this afternoon and were ushered out of the pub quicker than you can say JD Wetherspoon. The so called manager claimed they do not have a licence for kids, however on seeing the premises licence it stated they do. Manager quickly back tracks and says kids are allowed in, they're just not allowed to serve them. The kid's 13 days old, I really can't see him going to the bar and asking for a lager, can you? Having been in the licensing for well over twenty years, I know kids can go into a pub and order soft drinks freely, unless there is a sign saying otherwise, of which there was none!
